ISS transits the Sun

After more than three years of many unsuccessful attempts, Oleg Toumilovitch has captured the International Space Station crossing the surface of the Sun.

"The ISS looks tiny and lost between all the sunspots, but it was easy to see through the camera’s viewfinder," Oleg writes. He used an 80-mm refractor and a Canon EOS 550D (ISO 200, 1/1250-s) to capture this transient image.
