Astronomy and science outreach at Gordon Secondary, Somerset West, to celebrate National Science Week 2012.

Despite intermittent cloud, our regular programme could continue at Gordon. While Ed gave talks in the class, Paul, Lynnette and myself showed the Sun outside. During cloudy spells, I spoke about our solar system, the Sun as energy source, and the leading role of South Africa in radio astronomy.

Competition winners: Erica Carelse (first place) and Keenan Pasquallie (second prize). Congrats!
