The Southern Sky Almanack is a monthly summary of astronomical events, from a southern hemisphere perspective, for the year 2010. These events include the visibility of the Sun, Moon & planets, and details of eclipses.

Its intended audience is the astronomy enthusiast, be it a novice star gazer, an experienced amateur astronomer, or anybody involved in astronomy outreach.

The Almanack is presented in calendar format, with one A4-sized page per month.

In addition to the Almanack, readers may find the Discover! star charts, the Southern Star Wheel, and the Constellation Yearbook (all free for non-commercial use) useful to enhance their enjoyment of astronomy.

A lot of effort has been put into this almanack as well as all the other recources. Stargazing is so much more fun when one does not have to dig deep to find out what's actually going on in the universe from day to day. Thanks for an informative website.

I was asked a (what I thought to be a simple question) as it turns out I'm finding out it's not so simple, to form an easy accurate answer .

The question was: What is my favorite constellation ? I began doing research & am finding out a world of information which leads to more questions.

Thank you for having done the research to learn from & to help form a possible answer to this question.

Sincerely Rhonda K. Webb

Rhonda,
Always fun to learn!
Keep an eye out for the upcoming "Constellation Cards", which you may find interesting.
