Over 200 people attended today's Darwin Seminar, held at the Menzies Building, UCT.

The first speaker was Mario di Gregorio (Professor, History of Science, U. L'Aquila, Italy), speaking on "Darwin's Marginalia – Visiting the mind of the great English naturalist."

After tea, local boy Brian Warner (Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Natural Philosophy) described Darwin's visit to Sir John Herschel at Feldhausen, Cape Town.

Following lunch, Peter Bowler (Professor, History of Science, Queen's University of Belfast) spoke on "Charles Darwin: The man and the myth".
