Venus is the brightest "star" in this photo by Kos. The little smudge bottom-left of Venus is the Beehive open cluster (Praesepe, Messier 44). To the top-right of Venus lies Saturn. Regulus is just off the top-centre of the frame. The curved Sickle of Leo is prominent to the right of Saturn.

Canon EOS 30D, 18mm lens at f/3.5, ISO 1000, 10-sec exposure.
