Southern Star Trails

After seeing George Liakos' image posted earlier today, Kos couldn't resist sending in this photo, which he took on May 07. He used a Canon EOS30D, its 18mm lens opened up to f/3.5, exposing for 44 minutes at ISO 100. Exposure start time was 18:53.

"I played around with the original to bring out the Coalsack, LMC and SMC," he writes. The streak across the star trails is most probably a meteor.
