"Exposure bracketed / adjusted by +1 ; red haze due to pollution / smog hanging over the Cape metropolitan area but the last sun rays, combined with city lights, gave a dramatic colour impact to it!"

Thys, a contributor to Outdoor Photo, writes that he almost gave up on photographing the comet due to the bad weather recently. "Last night, at the last moment, I decided to go to Technopark and capture the comet digitally. I arrived at the small viewing area at Technopark, where the road enters a farm, and set up. Less than 15 minutes later, around 20 others also showed up."
