Constellations on summer evenings

A typical summer evening view to the east, where the Pleiades, Taurus, Orion and Siruis are draped above the horizon, while the rich southern Milky Way stretches further southward towards Crux.

Ferdi uses a Pentax ME Super film camera to image the night sky. To compensate for the Earth's rotation during long exposures, he uses a barn-door tracker, built by Willie Koorts.
