Description: A galaxy on the outskirts of the Large Magellanic Cloud, just under a degree south south-west of a prominent triangle (15' sides) of 7th magnitude stars.

Readily seen at 100x, it appears as a small (≈30'') faint round glow, of even light, like a softly focused star.

A neat Crux-like asterism lies about 10' to the north-east.
