Description: A faint grouping in the form of a letter G. Most of the stars are of approximately similar in magnitude and are situated in a busy star-field. It can, however, be clearly discerned when the grouping has been identified. IC 2134 is situated to the southern end of the letter that appears correctly in the southern hemisphere, although it is upside down in the northern hemisphere. Comment: Guide search then visually; sketch done. Magnitude estimate: 8.0. Size estimate: 14.0 arcmin.
